''Cliniodes mellalis'' is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Hayden in 2011. It is found in Costa Rica. The length of the forewings is 9–10 mm for males and about 12 mm for females. The forewings are yellow with black scales. There are black spots in the middle and distal end of the discal cell and/or a fainter grey patch. The postmedial line is faint brown and the postmedial area is orange brown. The hindwings are translucent yellowish, with a dark smoky margin. The anal area is dark smoky brown-grey. Adults have been recorded on wing in February, April and from August to November. ==Etymology== The species name refers to the dark yellow forewings and is derived from Latin ''mel'' (meaning honey).〔(Revision of Cliniodes Guenée (Lepidoptera: Crambidae: Odontiinae) )〕
